Get To Know The Owner Of Briles Automotive Repairs

Hi, I’m Davin Briles, owner of Briles Automotive Repairs.

I grew up in Perry, Iowa, and graduated from Perry High School in 2006. Being able to own and operate a business in the community I grew up in means a great deal to me, and I take a lot of pride in serving the people and families of Perry and the surrounding areas.

I’ve been in the automotive industry for over 20 years and have operated my own shop for the last 7 years. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in both independent repair shops and dealership environments, including GM, Volkswagen, and Subaru dealerships. Those experiences gave me extensive knowledge across many different vehicle makes and repair situations, but they also helped shape the foundation of how I wanted to run my own business.

No matter where I worked, I consistently noticed two major issues within the industry — poor communication with customers and subpar quality of work being performed. Too often, customers were left confused about what their vehicle actually needed, or repairs were rushed without proper testing and attention to detail.

That’s why I started Briles Automotive Repairs with one goal in mind — to provide honest, high-quality automotive repair with proper diagnostics, transparent communication, and repairs done the right way the first time.

From the beginning of my career, I’ve had a strong passion for solving complex vehicle problems. Modern vehicles are more advanced than ever, and I believe customers deserve more than guesswork and unnecessary parts replacement. That’s why I place a strong focus on proper testing, accurate diagnostics, and quality workmanship on every vehicle that comes through the shop.

At Briles Automotive Repairs, we take pride in treating customers the way we would want our own family treated. We use Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) with photos, videos, and detailed information so customers can clearly understand the condition of their vehicle and make informed decisions without pressure or confusion.

Building trust within the community is extremely important to me. I understand how stressful vehicle problems can be, and my goal is to provide dependable repairs, honest recommendations, and a level of service customers can feel confident in.
